I bought the rubber horseshoes set as a backup for my organization's Senior group. We usually play horseshoes outdoors with actual pits but could not due to rain. The set worked perfectly for them (ages 55-94!). Some of them actually preferred this set to normal horseshoes because it was lighter, and they could slide the horseshoes. They come with a really good traveling bag. I was able to fit 4 sets into a normal sized box. You do have the option to play indoors or outdoors with the set. My only criticisms is that the rod/pole for the indoor set is too short, and the rubber mat could use some type of adhesive on the bottom. We ended up having to put tape down to keep it in place. Regardless, the seniors loved it, and it was very affordable.

    This set has brought us many hours of enjoyment at the beach. Not sure if you could use it on the grass as the steaks won't go into the ground easily. Also not the most sturdy but still very fun if you are looking for a fun game to just be silly with…not for serious competition lol.

    Fun, portable, easy to set up and play. However, the plastic stakes for the ground are a joke. It would have to be very soft ground indeed to be able to put them in. Using the mats and pegs works well indoors and out.
