First, these are two zero drop causal shoes – meaning the shoe is level (flat) from heel to toe. This allows for a correct foot landing every time you step. Elevated shoes (just about every brand in the world) will cause a heel strike landing and over time cause foot, ankle, knee, hip and lower problems. An elevated shoe causes the pelvis to tilt forward and this causes many different posture issues.
For causal wear, these shoes are fantastic. They have a lot of weight in the sole compared to barefoot shoes, even though the sole is very flexible. Barefoot shoes needs to have thin and light weight soles to allow for maximum foot muscle activation and flexibility. So I would consider these zero drop causal shoes but not barefoot shoes.
Also, the sole of these shoes is very heavy. They remind me of the weight of Converse All-Stars. They do not have a lightweight quality like other zero drop running shoes (Altra, etc).
The fabric is very nice. It's durable and easy to clean (just wipe with soap and water). They have a matte look and I love the texture.
They breathe okay. For a causal shoe they breathe very good but not as well as a running shoe.
These are not designed for the gym or running. I would say they are best for casual use and that's all. The all white shoes, black and grey are a great choice for business causal.
At the price, these are an excellent value.
